THAT I MAY KNOW HIM

(An adaptation of Philippians 3:10-14.)

That I may know Him

and the power of His resurrection

the fellowship of sharing in His sufferings

becoming like Him in His death

And so somehow, to attain unto the resurrection

not that I've already come this far

but I press on

To take hold of

that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me

and I do not consider myself

yet to have taken hold

But this one thing I do

Forgetting things that are behind me

Reaching to those things before me now

I press on

toward the goal

to win the prize

for which God has called me heavenward

in Jesus Christ

God has called me heavenward

That I may know Him...
