TAKE ALL OF YOUR BEST ARGUMENTS, your reason, all your assessments, judgments, all the particular elements that make you who you are. Take your faith. Take the supports by which you conduct this one life. Take all your successes and failures. Love can bring them under government, into a divine and right order. It makes ghosts of some of them and refines the rest. Love is the scale against which all things are to be weighed. And it is sufficient. If love created worlds and suspended them in nothingness, it can surely order your own. Consider an exchange. Love is the pearl of great price and all it needs is a pocket, a big life to put it in.

May any resistance, any opposition, any force in this life that labors against you, may these only accelerate the process by which champions are made, by which greatness can recognize itself, the invocation that summons up the hero in you.
