David was raised in Atlanta, Georgia. His father was a worship leader in the church he grew up in, a small Christian church in downtown Atlanta. After high school, David studied Psychology and Philosophy at Georgia State University, receiving a BA in Psychology. He attended graduate school till music and other adventures distracted him. Mylon LeFevre led David back to faith in Summer 1981. Since then, he has been involved in full time music ministry.

He has recorded 7 albums and his first book was released by THOMAS NELSON (March 2005).

An event with David Teems is no less than a celebration of life itself, of love, and above all, a celebration of Christ, its source. Acoustic guitar, grand piano, corporate worship, maybe even a fiddle... All come together in warmth and sincerity, mixed with great talent.
